Many countries had introduced water tax to prevent excessive and unnecessary use of water loss.If someone wastes water he/she has to pay for it.Thats great for many rich countries. But developing countries like India,Bangladesh or Pakistan it is not very logical to introduce such taxes.People in the subcontinent is facing the highest riswater scarcity and is a potential place for a war regarding the sharing of water. As a continent which have one of the largest density of rivers interconnecting two countries. As for example River Ganges. It flows through the northern and eastern region of India but ultimately it reach its destination through Bangladesh. That is why if India can easily block the water of Ganges from flowing into Bangladesh which can devastate the agricultural productivity of the country. In case of River Indus,Pakistan is in the upper hand due to the same reason. So the indian subcontinent has every probability to become the hotspot of the next world war which is predicted to began due tthe water sharing controversies.
India as a country is indeed a superb example of unity in diversity both in terms of people living there and where they are livingIf Rajasthan in the West is a desert then Bengal is home to many rivers providing more than necessary requirement of water. In view of such diversity one can not unite India by an uniform tax structure(:)). So city planners must think a lot before introducing anything to charge our water use. Moreover many people in India do not have a house but they use a lot of water .Small and Micro-Business establishment use water from public water services which are not monitored and it is very complex to regulate them as well. Also there are already innumerable number and types of taxes imposed on the common people of not only in India but also in Pakistan and Bangladesh.Another one for such a necessary items (which is more important than electricity as we can live without electricity but not without water) can create a huge chaos.
Also before introducing such measures planners must think about th change in climate which is predicted to become worse to worser atleast in India.
Walk the talk! by Sujata Parashar

The woods are blazing,
The water runs short,
The air is smoky,
with gaseous chemicals and dust.
Those glaciers melted some more,
The lady on the TV just informed.
I switched it off shaking my head. And decided to go out for a walk.
A red bike threw the burnt fuel on my face as it zoomed past,
As if that was not enough, it honked so loud, that it scared,
even the big Banyan tree in my neighborhood.
A Success Story in Afforestation
by admin
Climate change, overgrown population, irregular distribution of water and large scale extraction of natural resources had make many regions in India and abroad to become deserted or desert-prone. The only solution to this grave problem is reforestation. People must be encouraged by the local governments to plant trees for their own as well as nature's benefit. West Bengal is an example of such mitigation measures. The species selected was Sal. A pond was created for storing rainwater. The same water was used for the forestation activities. The West Midnapore district of the state of West Bengal has become an example of how afforestation activities can reverse the trend of desertification into a healthy natural watershed. This movement of afforestation has indeed showed what a public-private partnership in micro-level can solve the problem of poverty both in terms of money and natural resources.
Manmade Chemicals a Major Cause of Global Climate Change by Daniel Stouffer

Cover Feature
Manmade chemicals are proven to be the major cause of global climate change as such cause increased atmospheric temperature which can lead to unfavorable water patterns, growth patterns, and weather. Unfortunately, man cannot do away with such chemicals that easily as these are needed in producing and refrigerating goods, and in making lives easier. As such, the U.S. and international governments are establishing regulations to limit the usage of manmade chemical substances that deplete the ozone layer, have a high global warming potential, or increase the fugitive emissions related to Greenhouse Gases (GHGs). Refrigerant gas used to run commercial refrigeration units, as well as air-conditioning systems and heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, is a chief cause of climate change because it is made up of hydrochlorofluoro carbons and chlorofluorocarbons.
